You need a strong computer to run the alpha version of emoko. Any decent gaming PC from the last 3 years should be fine, but a dual-core system with a dedicated video card is a must. We will optimize emoko to run on older and slower systems in future releases.

Also, emoko does not run on a Mac, but we do plan to support Mac as soon as we can.

System Requirements:
  • 3-Button Mouse: Left & Right Buttons, Mouse Wheel
  • The most recent version of DirectX 9, or DX10
  • Operating System: Windows 7, Vista or XP
  • RAM: 2.0GB (4.0GB for Windows 7 or Vista)
  • Speed: 1.8GHz or faster
  • CPU: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better
  • Video Card: NVIDIA 7800 Series, ATI Radeon 1800 Series or better
  •
    Tips:

    • Refresh is your friend! If you having problems with a particular website or communicating with someone at a website, try refreshing the page.
    • In order to see others at a website, your URLs have to be EXACTLY the same. For example, if User A's URL reads: http://www.google.com/ and User B's URL reads: http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&tab=nw, they will not see each other. The address bars need to be exact.
    • The URL that governs your communications is on the bottom of the screen in the blue bar. If there are any discrepancies in URLs, the blue address bar on the bottom takes precedence over the others (in the borders of the pages).
    • If you have multiple pages open side-by-side, only the left-most page (which is the URL in your bottom address bar) will be used for communications. Users on pages that opened "To my right" will not be visible because they are not on your "Primary Page." To switch your "Primary Page," click the green "1" button on the web border and that page will become your new "Primary Page," moving it to the left-most position.
